Week 2
In Literacy this week we have started our non-fiction unit by exploring statements and questions about owls. We worked in groups on Friday to create an owl quiz.
In maths we have been using different methods to add two 2 digit numbers including partitioning numbers into tens and ones, using base ten and other written methods. Ask your child to show you the blank number line method - the most versatile one we’ve looked at and will continue to use next week for subtracting!
Our new science unit involved going out and exploring habitats in our playground and garden areas. We made close observations of a variety of different living things and are looking forward to more of this topic!
