Week 4
We came to the end of our adventure story unit in literacy, The children spent the week writing excellent adventure stories based on Peter Pan. They included setting and character descriptions and made sure they followed the correct story mountain structure.
In maths we continued to work on our multiplication and division skills. The children have made excellent progress and have become increasingly secure in their abilities to problem solve and reason within this topic.
In other news:
We experimented with creating shadows in the playground; drawing around them and then investigating how we could make them bigger or smaller. In cross-curricular we wrote instructions for how to create a rainforest, made information cards about the Ancient Egyptian Gods in history and learnt where chocolate comes from and how it is made in Geography.
