Week 5

This week the children wrote non fiction texts about animals, gathering information and labelling diagrams. In history they learnt about the Poll Tax imposed on peasants by Richard II and how it sparked a Peasants’ Revolt. They then wrote letters to King Richard to tell him how the tax was unfair because Lords and peasants paid the same. We had a lively discussion about that! In DT they practised making drawbridges, using paper, ready for their model.

PSHE was all about being healthy and getting enough sleep. The children worked in teams to sequence the end of the day and talked about why it is important for our bodies to rest properly.
