GODLY PLAY OVERVIEW

SPRING TERM 2026

The Godly Play stories shared this term are:

Noah’s Ark (Year R and Year 1)

Noah's Ark is a beloved sacred story in Godly Play that introduces young children to themes of obedience, God's care, and renewal. This presentation is specially designed for Reception and Year 1 children, using simple language and concrete materials to engage their imagination and wonder.

The Ten Commandments (Year 2, 3, 4, 5)

The Ten Commandments presentation in Godly Play introduces children to the sacred laws God gave to Moses on Mount Sinai. This presentation helps children understand these foundational rules for living in relationship with God and others, adapted appropriately for children in Years 2-5.

Saul’s (Paul's) Discovery (Year 6)

This lesson focuses on the life of Saul, later Paul, who started his life actively opposing followers of Jesus, but following the dramatic conversion on the road to Damascus he became one of Christianity’s greatest and most ardent advocates. We will discuss the power of the Holy Spirit within Paul’s ministry and how we can use Paul’s example to inspire us when faced with challenges and hardships of our own.
