Black History Month at High Wycombe Church of England School

Each October, we join people across the country in celebrating Black History Month. It is a time to learn about, reflect on and honour the achievements, contributions and stories of Black people past and present. At High Wycombe C of E, we use this opportunity to explore inspiring figures, share powerful stories, and deepen our understanding of how Black history shapes the world we live in today. Through assemblies, curriculum links and creative activities, our children are encouraged to celebrate diversity, show respect for all, and live out our Christian vision to “Be strong and courageous” (Joshua 1:9).
