In our Class Collective Worship, we thought about how we could be a welcoming community to those that join us from around the world. We listened to the parable of the mustard seed and thought about what this parable can teach us about being a welcoming school community. We looked at this artwork and reflected about how our school community can be like the mustard tree in the picture.
Matylda: I could let them play with us and sing them a song.
Oliver: I could say “Do you want to play with me?”
Olanna: when new people join our school and we look after them, it helps them to get to know what to do.
Elspeth: Showing them the way to places around the school.
Reuben – let them join in with what you’re doing and help explain how to join, teach them new games
Zara: We will ask the MDS if she needs any help tidying up at lunchtime or on the playground.
Anna- we can make tiny love bigger and bigger, like the mustard seed.
Lucy: By sharing and being kind to everyone
Sami – we start small and grow big in size and learning while at school. More people joined the school and it got bigger
Keira – we can grow by teaching more people about God & Jesus
