First day

We began our day by recognising the differences between a fixed and growth mindset.  We practised phrases which demonstrated a fixed mindset and considered what we could do or say to promote a growth mindset.  The children created some of their own learning pits to display in our classroom. 

Brain awareness

In the afternoon, we focused on Brain Awareness.  We explored what the left and right handed sides of our brain can do but also explored how we can learn using our senses.  The children practised using some of these senses to identify objects, smells, textures and so on.
