By the end of their time at HWCE, children will have developed a broad and secure understanding of artistic techniques, processes, and vocabulary. They will be confident in expressing their ideas visually and verbally, with the ability to evaluate and improve their work. Pupils will appreciate the role of art in different cultures and histories, and recognise its value as a form of communication and personal expression. 

The impact of our curriculum is reflected in the quality of pupils' artwork, their enthusiasm for the subject, and their ability to talk about their creative process. Through continuous assessment, teacher observation, and sketchbook evidence, progress is tracked and celebrated. Children leave HWCE with a lasting appreciation for the arts and the confidence to continue their creative journey beyond primary school.
