PE and Sports Premium Funding at High Wycombe C of E School
At High Wycombe C of E, we recognise the vital role that Physical Education (PE) plays in the health, well-being, and overall development of our children. We believe that a high-quality, varied PE curriculum – along with rich extra-curricular opportunities – has a positive impact on pupils’ concentration, attitude, and academic achievement.
What is the PE and Sports Premium?
The PE and Sports Premium is government funding provided to all state primary schools. Its purpose is to help schools develop sustainable and high-quality PE and sports provision, encouraging all pupils to lead healthy and active lifestyles.
How the Funding is Allocated
Funding is based on the number of pupils in Years 1 to 6, recorded in the January school census:
Schools with 17 or more pupils receive £16,000 plus £10 per pupil
Schools with 16 or fewer pupils receive £1,000 per pupil
