Autumn Butterfly Afternoon

In the Autumn Term, we have been clearing and de-weeding the flower beds in our Outdoor Area, ready to plant some nasturtiums for the Large White butterfly. We have been looking after the cabbages planted in the whole-school Butterfly Planters, which are also for the Large White butterfly.

Spring Butterfly Afternoon

In the Spring Term, we continued to check on the cabbages that were planted at the start of the school year. We measured the cabbage plants and found that the tallest plant grew to 1.3m tall! 

We have created an observation table to keep track of any Holly Blue or Cabbage White butterflies we spot in or around school.
