Parents have the legal right to withdraw their child from Religious Education (RE) lessons at any time. Upon receipt of a withdrawal request, the school will grant the request without delay. Parents are not required to provide a reason for their decision, and it will not be necessary to explain the basis for the withdrawal.

The school may offer to discuss the request further with parents, but this will only occur after the request has been granted. We respect parents’ right to make this decision, and the child’s educational needs will be supported in line with the school’s policies during their withdrawal from RE lessons.
