  • Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

At High Wycombe Church of England School, we are dedicated to providing tailored support for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), in line with the SEND Code of Practice (2015) and the Equality Act (2010).

Our experienced and commissioned SENDCo, Mr. Ryan Smith, leads the implementation of our Special Educational Needs Policy and coordinates provision to ensure that every child’s individual needs are met. Mr. Smith works closely with staff to regularly monitor the progress of pupils with SEND, introducing targeted interventions when required. He also collaborates with external agencies to access specialist advice and secure the best possible support for each pupil.

Our SEND provision follows a graduated approach, carefully assessing and reviewing each pupil’s needs. For pupils with an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP), we ensure that all support detailed in the plan is delivered within our inclusive mainstream setting, meeting both statutory requirements and our commitment to equality.

If you would like more information about our SEND provision, please contact Mr. Smith, our SENDCo, via email at senco@highwycombecombined.bucks.sch.uk
