    Pompeii fact file

This week I would like you to use the internet and/or books to research the lost city of Pompeii, the ancient Roman city that was buried when Mount Vesuvius erupted.

In your fact file you should include:

    • Where Pompeii was and when it was destroyed
    • Information about the eruption of Mount Vesuvius
    • Fun fact/did you know
    • Information (and pictures!) about 3 artefacts that have been found at the site

You can include more if you wish!

How you make the fact file is up to you. You can write straight into your homework book, use the template on the class page, or practise what we have been learning in Computing and make it on the computer. If you choose to use the last option, please don’t just copy and paste!

Fact files can be printed at home or converted to pdf and emailed to LKS2phase@highwycombecombined.bucks.sch.uk

    Happy researching!

    Geography Lesson: Pompeii Volcano Eruption

In 79 AD, Pompeii was a thriving Roman city. Little did the people know that nearby Mount Vesuvius was about to erupt, destroying the entire city and encasing it in ash for nearly 1500 years.
