Week 1
It was wonderful to officially meet Year 3 Kites on Monday as their teacher! Everyone was smiling, helpful and happy to back to school.
This week the children have been following their full time table and have been introduced to the topics they will be learning this term. In literacy we have been looking at the story of Peter Pan and we will initially be focusing on letter writing. In maths the children developed their knowledge and understanding of measures, converting grams and kilograms. In PE, the children practiced their throwing skills; as part of our alternative PE lessons.
On Thursday, it was World Book Day and the children came to school dressed as a book character. They all looked fantastic! We thought about the different authors we could name and then did some work on David Walliams.
On Friday it was International Day, during the morning the children learnt about Cyprus. In the afternoon we explored the country Peru! The children have a great time learning about and exploring these places.
