Week 2

Congratulations to the children on successfully completing their first ‘assessment week’. I have been so impressed with the way they have all risen to the challenges that have been set for them. So many of our learning behaviours have been demonstrated by all this week but being confident, independent, challenging ourselves and being self motivated have definitely been prevalent. Well done, year one!

This week, among many other activities, children have retold the story of Dogger, written a recount of international day, completed maths, reading, spelling, grammar and punctuation assessments. They have also commemorated Remembrance Day by making some beautiful poppies, medals for the soldiers and colouring scenes of Flanders fields. They have created a class prayer book for the class prayer area and completed their children in need ‘act your age’ challenge with great effort!  A super week all, have a good weekend!
