In Literacy we researched and wrote biographies about Katherine Johnson - the children continue to be fascinated by her life and her achievements. They found out lots of great facts and "interviewed her" to find out her opinions and emotions at key points in her life.
Lots of work on problem solving in Maths this week as we were focusing on addition and subtraction which the children are already confident in. Lots of head scratching to try and solve the problems but the perseverance and determination to find the answers was great to see.
In other news; we wrote stories set in one of John Constable's paintings, looked at old photos to see how High Wycombe has changed over the last 100 years, made posters to remind people to help and donate to St Vincent, sent messages using semaphore, started learning rounders skills and looked at how we could use shadows to tell the time.
