This week the class have taken assessment week in their stride, showing resilience and determination. They have stilled continue with the non-core lessons, learning Christmas songs and dance in music and PE in preparation for our forthcoming performance in December.

On Tuesday this week some of the class went to a football tournament, here is the report about how they got on:

Football tournament match report

Tuesday 9th November: Y3 sent 8 of their children to play at a local football tournament at Cressex astroturf pitch. The competition was run by AJD football coaching. We were exceptionally proud of the whole team, who supported one another throughout the whole tournament. It was some of the children’s first time playing a competitive game of football, so the children who were more experienced gave them tips to help them improve their game. Some children bravely volunteered to take a turn in goal and our player of the tournament was awarded to James, who despite injury, showed resilience throughout. At the end of the tournament, the children discovered that despite having the same score as another school, we had won overall due to goals scored. Congratulations to the whole team, our fantastic winners!

Have a lovely weekend
