Week 3
In Literacy, we have been studying Dogger. This week's focus was lost posters- looking at the features before creating their own poster for their favorite toys. In Maths, the children have continued with addition. This will be our continuing topic for the next couple of weeks, with the introduction of subtraction.
This week, the children had a great opportunity to take part in Godly play. This is a really special experience for the children, where they are free to explore stories from the bible and ask questions about these encounters. The children really enjoyed the sessions and it sparked some brilliant philosophical discussions.
We have been continuing to practice the songs and our dance for the Christmas performance- it's beginning to come together!
At the end of the week, the children were visited by members of the local police, to answers questions about the job and read a new police book 'PC Ben'. The children also had the opportunity to try on some uniforms and sit in the police car!
