Week 5
The last week of the half term was full of fun! We started the week by visiting Oxford Castle, in preparation for our topic on Castles next half term. We went on a tour of the castle, including the tower and the crypt, and had a workshop about life in a castle. The children had great fun, and learnt lots of new things.
As the Queen's Platinum Jubilee approaches, we have been looking at a decade during her reign. We have been looking at 2002-2012, so this week we learnt about the London Olympics. On Thursday, the children completed a number of activities related to the Jubilee, finishing with an assembly and Tea Party.
