Week 8
Autumn Week 8
This week has been Assessment Week in Year 6. We undertook mock SATs, not only to see what we need to work on for the rest of Year 6, but also to help us get used to taking the SATs. Everyone worked hard to achieve to the best of their ability!
Other Subjects
In geography we have continued to study rivers, focusing on flooding.
In history we learnt about about Victorian Life and had to write a descriptive piece of writing to describe a Victorian London.
Science we continued to classify different animals.
In Art we finished our artwork on Van Gogh, creating wonderful Starry Nights.
PE
This week was our games session was still with Wycombe Wanderers Football Club. We also played end ball in a house competition on Wednesday.
Black History Month
As part of our focus on Black History Month, we had to give a speech on our family history - this was due to the BHM theme of 'Proud to Be Me'.
