Autumn

What a day!

Despite a very long coach trip, the trip to the London fire brigade museum was a great success. We listened to a story about how Wilma and her cat Whiskers raised the alarm to warn London about the fire, and the children were bell ringers, Samuel Pepys, houses and even the king of England.  Then we had a quiz about fire safety and the children had the opportunity to try on old brigade uniforms. After lunch we looked at all the equipment a modern fire engine has to carry and had some good ideas for our vehicles!

The journey home was a lot quicker and we arrived at school with time to spare.

I have to say that the children were a credit to the school and to you - their behaviour was super and their knowledge of the events of the fire was simply amazing! Mega Dojos all around :)
