Impact
Through teaching French in Year 3 – 6, we aim to ensure that all pupils:
- Have the opportunity to learn another language in an enjoyable, fun and meaningful way.
- Are motivated and excited to learn about other languages and cultures.
- Are introduced to simple vocabulary and structures which can be used in a variety of contexts in the school day, making MFL a part of everyday school life.
- Develop speaking and listening skills.
- Become more aware of their own language by encountering a new one.
- Celebrate our similarities and differences.
- Are prepared for specialist teaching in KS3 and beyond.
