At High Wycombe Church of England Combined School, we incorporate our Christian values into all aspects of school life. We teach our children that the Christian values are important values that help us live a good Christian life. They give meaning to life, are the foundation of our beliefs, they influence our decisions, actions and behaviour and impact the life we choose to lead. Our aim is to show our children that by living their lives with each of our six Christian values, they will be 'strong and courageous'.

How Do We Teach Our Christian Values?

As a Church school we have developed our own set of Christian values that will underpin all we do as a school. We have six Christian values that are introduced to the children at the beginning of a new half term in our whole school collective worship and incorporated into the curriculum so the children have opportunities to develop an understanding of how the presence of these values has a positive impact on their lives and learning as well as those around them. We have created six 'Vision Characters' in order to help our children understand the Christian values. Each value is also linked to one of our six learning behaviours.
