Vision

We aim to deliver high quality teaching which leads to helping develop children’s knowledge and understanding of the Earth’s physical and human processes. Geography explores the relationship between the Earth and its people through the study of place, space and environment. It contributes to the cultural, social, spiritual and moral life of children as they acquire knowledge of a range of different cultures and traditions, and learn tolerance and understanding of other people and environments.

We want to inspire them to think critically about the world and have the ability to express well-balanced opinions, rooted in excellent geographical knowledge.

We want to inspire them to love geography and develop their natural curiosity and respect for the wider world and the people who live in it.

We aim to do this by providing opportunities to make children aware of how actions can affect their surroundings, their own responsibilities and how they can contribute to improving the environment, however small that contribution might be.
