Week 1
This week the children looked at the story ‘So Much’ by Trish Cooke. They investigated the language and repetition in the story and then wrote their own stories, based on their families.
In maths the children worked on place value and adding using a 100 grid.
Did you know we have a Little Mouse in the corridor? He wrote a letter asking the children what they did after school and they wrote back telling him all about their day. Just to make sure he got the letter, they left a trail of biscuit crumbs outside his mouse hole!!!
in. In computing they looked at traditional tales and how they are illustrated, ready to do their own illustrations in an e-book.
PE involved lots of throwing, catching and aiming through hoops and was generally very noisy - but lots of fun!
The art topic this half term is all about artists and colour and the children painted in the style of Mondrian.
