Week 2
In Literacy this week we are still looking at instructions. We have read the book, HOW TO WASH A WOOLLY MAMMOTH, and the children have been adapting the instructions to make them more exciting.
Our Maths lessons have focused on addition and subtraction using the column method. The children have found this tricky but have tried hard to understand and apply the method and consequently have made good progress.
In other areas; we ordered The Stone Age - Iron Age in a timeline, made windmills to investigate forces in science, sketched self portraits in art (which were brilliant for a first attempt), wrote postcards from other countries to describe the weather and played Basketball in our Games lesson.
