Week 2
Maths
Our focus this week in maths this week has been addition. The children have been practising using maths resources and adding values on a number line. We have been trying to follow the RUCSAC method and using a number of maths resources to check our answers.
Literacy
We have continued to look at the features of persuasive writing this week around our book called 'The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch'. The children have gone above and beyond at exploring rhetorical questions and even practised using similes.
PE- Cricket
Our sport in PE this term is cricket. Our objective was get the children thinking about the multiple areas that need to be focused on when doing sports.
Art
Our art sessions have been connected to our Geography lessons of 'Wish you were here'. The children have been using various art resources to practise some of their observational and sketching skills. We have many enthusiastic drawers in the class but we want to support them in considering elements in their drawing such as texture, patterns, tones, shadows and so on.
