Week 5
Literacy
We have really enjoyed a scavenger hunt so this week we decided to do it again but comparing the features of a newspaper article and a fictional story. Here are some pictures of the children reading the features and discussing where it should go in the vent diagram.
Maths
Our focus in maths this week has been fractions. We looked at unit and non unit fractions and how this could be represented.
Book talk
We had a book talk session where we created a book blanket. We explored some of the different booms the children were reading and then discussed some of the common themes of the books.
PE
The children have loved having a PE coach to teach some of the cricket skills. They have been practising using ball and bat skills to help develop some of their coordination skills.
Run a mile
Alternative PE
Every term the children will have a taste of try an alternative sport in a PE lesson. This term the children tried lacrosse! It certainly wasn’t as easy as what they expected but everyone worked extremely hard to improve their skills.
