Week 6
Literacy
Our focus this week in Literacy has been poetry. We have read a variety of poems with expression and considered some of the rhythms to help us remember them. We read a poem called 'senses' about the seaside where the children used their own senses and explored a variety of descriptive vocabulary to edit and write their own version.
Maths
Prior to the half term we have revised time. We have revised some areas from year 1 such as o'clock and half past but also using quarter past, quarter to, time to the nearest five minutes and durations of time. We use some mini clocks so we can explored how the different hands move and practise counting up in 5s.
PE
It was our final week. Congratulations to the Surfers team for coming first in this weeks competition. Everyone showed some fantastic sportsmanship and we were very pleased with the progress.

Mrs Wells has continued to do some ukelele practise with the children. It has been a pleasure to listen to how they have progressed and how they are feeling more confident.
