Courageous Advocacy

Courageous Advocacy - 'Be the Change!'

Our School Christian Vision to ‘Be Strong and Courageous’ underpins everything that we do in school and the introduction of our Vision Characters have really helped the children to link our vision to our values for living and behaviours for learning.

This term we have been talking about how we can become Courageous Advocates. Children and young people are integral to building a fairer and more sustainable world for everyone. Courageous Advocacy equips them with the skills, tools, confidence, and opportunity to speak up and take action on issues of justice and compassion. Courageous Advocacy is an integral part of the Church of England Education Office's vision for education and fits in very well with our own Christian Vision.

We have looked at a number of courageous advocates including Greta Thumberg and Marcus Rashford and thought about how you are never too young to be able to make a real and long lasting difference.

In September, each class launched their own Courageous Advocacy Project. The children are going to work on these projects all year and will be following these steps to achieve change.
