Arrangements for next week - 18th Jan
The school will be back to normal next week, normal school day timings, normal drop off and collection times.
Children to wear school uniform and sensible shoes.
Thank you to everyone that made the week manageable. We are all looking forward to getting back to normal.
Enjoy your weekend.

We have enough staff in to open school at 10a.m However, please do not travel if it is unsafe. Also, if you bring your children in please be aware that if the snow continues we may have to close early. Please can you keep your mobile on and check mobiles and website regularly. It will be an authorised absence for any children who stay at home due to the weather conditions.
Thank you
Mrs. Hawkins
Please note that we intend to OPEN on Monday 11th January.
A huge thank you to all who helped clear the school site today. It was a real team effort and the huge turnout of parents made light work of the task ahead of us.
Children should come straight into school in the morning, the registers will remain open until 9.30a.m to allow staff and children to travel to school safely.
Monday will be a NON-UNIFORM DAY the children must have warm clothing, along with suitable footwear for the snowy conditions - wellies will be a good choice. They should also have a change of footwear (e.g. plimsolls) for using indoors.
Unfortunately we will not be able to open the playground at the end of the day because it is not totally cleared and I do not think it would be safe to do this.
We look forward to seeing you all.

Snow Clearing Working Party - 12.30 pm Sunday 10th January.
We hope to try and open the school on Monday, weather permitting.
So, if you are able and willing, please come and help us to clear the snow on Sunday. Please bring shovels, brooms, etc. We prefer not to have children on site whilst we are clearing as we cannot supervise and guarantee that they will be safe. Please do not drive into Loakes Road as it is very icy and we also need to clear this area first. Suffield road is free on Sundays.
Should we have to cancel the Work Party we will let you know by text and on this website.
Many thanks for your continued understanding
Mrs Hawkins
Unfortunately it is not possible to open the school on Friday due to the dangerous driving conditions and the forecast of icy conditions overnight.
The staff have begun to put work for the children to access on the VLE- moodle site or on this website in the Class Pages sub sections - please encourage the children to visit the Moodle site and thie class page here.
There is an element of uncertainty regarding the weather conditions on Monday but I will endeavour to make sure everyone is kept up to date as early as a possible.
Enjoy the long weekend.
