Persuasive Letters - As part of our English this term we looked at the book Cogheart. In the story there are mechanicals and mechanimals, robot people and animals. These mechanicals are treated badly and as second class citizens by the humans. We wrote letters to Prime Minister Disreali to try and persuade him to give full human rights to mechanicals.

Rose Blanche Colour Poems - In English we studied the book Rose Blanche, which tells the story of a young girl in Germany during WW2. We had to write colour poems, linking to thoughts and feelings Rose had throughout the story.

Scandinavia - In geography we studied Scandinavia: the culture; climate; human and physical features; and Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

Scandinavian Holiday Brochures - In Cross Curricular Write we created brochures for Scandinavia.

WW2 - Rationing, we created non-chronoligical reports on rationing during WW2.

WW2 Inspired Art - We used WW2 as a basis to inspire our art. We created Blitz Art, Propaganda Posters and portraits of Winston Churchill.

World Book Day - For WBD we had to write a shirt narrative imagining we had been transported into our favourite book.

War Poems - We had to write a poem, letting everyone back on the Home Front understand the horrors of war!

It is the 8th May 1945 - Britain and her allies have just defeated Nazi Germany and the evil Mr. Hitler. He we are designing invitations for our VE day parties! Everyone Welcome.

The Highwayman by Alfred News - Roll, roll up read all about it! That dastardly Highwayman, shot down on the road.

The Queen's Coronation 1953 - we wrote newspapers in groups celebrating the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.

The Highwayman Narratives - We wrote stories based on the poem 'The Highwayman' by Alfred Noyes. We had to write from the viewpoint of one of the characters in the poem: The Highwayman, Bess, Tim the Ostler or King George's Men

The Highwayman Report - We have been studying the poem 'The Highwayman'. Out task was to use sources to investigate highwaymen and decide whether they were 'Heroes or Villains''
