Our Culture of Justice
We believe that teaching and living out justice helps our children grow into thoughtful, responsible individuals who stand up for what is right and care deeply for others.
At High Wycombe C of E School, our commitment to justice is deeply rooted in our Christian values and inspired by the guiding words of Joshua 1:9:
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
We strive to create a nurturing and inclusive community where everyone is valued, respected, and empowered to flourish. Our approach to justice is guided by our core values:
🌟 Compassion
🤝 Forgiveness
🌼 Respect
🙏 Thankfulness
💪 Hope
🕊️ Peace
By embracing these values, we encourage our community to become compassionate, courageous advocates, who strive to make the world a fairer, kinder, and more hopeful place.
Courageous Advocacy - 'Be the Change!'
At Wycombe C of E Primary School we embrace the Church of England’s vision for education, one that is, ‘deeply Christian, serving the common good of the whole community’.
We recognise there are injustices in the world around us and not everything is equal and fair. We teach our children that it is important to look out for these areas of injustice and to use their voice to be agents of change. We do this through the teachings of the Bible and learning about other courageous advocates.
“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.” - Proverbs 31:8-9
To guide our children through this process each year group works on a Courageous Advocacy Project and seeks to make real change in the world around us.
