Year 6 had a brilliant time in our Victorian Christmas workshop. We learnt lots about what a Victorian Christmas would have looked like and did lots of acting to help us understand what Christmas would have been like for poor and rich Victorians.

In Science, we investigated how different finches' beaks adapted to living on the Galapagos Islands

Thank you to Thames Valley Police for coming in to talk to Year 6 about staying safe. We learnt lots about staying safe on the street, at home and online. We also had lots of fun trying on parts of the uniform and sitting in the patrol car!

Gardening and raking leaves for courageous advocacy

Year 6 had an incredible time this afternoon learning about food from St Vincent. We were very lucky to have a member of the congregation at All Saints join us to share her culture from St Vincent as part of Black History Month. We tried all sorts of delicious food: cassava chips, plantain, sweet potato, yam, ackee, cornmeal and saltfish.

In partnership with Chiltern Rangers and Fresh Water Habitats Trust, Year 6 visited the Funges Meadows Nature Reserve. We were able to do some pond dipping and found lots of interesting vertebrates. We also tested water levels for levels of nitrate and phosphate. We discussed how pollution, climate change and land loss is affecting animals' habitats.

Year 6 had a brilliant time with our virtual reality workshop. We visited the Arctic, Amazon Rainforest, African savannas and the ocean all in an hour!
