To celebrate the end of our courageous advocacy project, Year 1 wrote thoughtful messages about looking after bees and attached them to handmade bee treats to share with our school community. We were thrilled to receive a letter from Emma Reynolds, who praised our efforts and even shared our project with Mary Creagh. In response, we wrote a class letter back to Emma, letting her know how much her support meant to us. We explained that we plan to continue our bee project in Year 2, taking part in the Flower Insect Timed Counts and organising a special event for Bees’ Needs Week. We’re proud of everything we’ve achieved so far and even more determined to keep helping the bees next year.
