Week 1

It has been great to welcome the children back all refreshed from their Easter break. It was lovely to read all their homework and see what they had been up to in the holidays.

In maths this week, the class have been developing their knowledge of place value. They have been looking at numbers up to 1000 and discussing the value of the digits. In literacy, the class have been exploring explanation texts and looking at conjunctions.

Every half term, each class takes part in an alternative PE lesson. This half term is Archery and Year 3 enjoyed trying this exciting activity this week.

The week ended with our Brain Awareness day on Friday; learning particularly about memory. We worked with Reception to develop our understanding of memory and took part in many different activities!

Have a lovely bank holiday weekend.
