Week 2
In Literacy, we are continuing to look at 'We're Going on a Lion Hunt' by David Axtell. This week the children have been planning and writing their own animal hunt stories. In Maths, we have moved onto multiplication. The children are looking at identifying equal groups and writing sentences to describe the groups.
In PE, we have continued our skills development, needed for tennis. This week was a focus on ball skills through throwing and catching. We have also begun our new Geography topic on city life. We will be comparing life in Edinburgh and Cape Town. In Art, we did some observational drawings of nature. In PSHE, we discussed the learning process of trying new things or learning new skills and how it isn't always easy. The children drew learning lines to show this.
Friday was very exciting as the children took part in an I Rock assembly!
