Week 3

In Literacy, the children have continued their learning around the text ‘Here we Are’. They learnt about some of the endangered animals on Earth and wrote posters to encourage people to save them.

They also thought of questions they wanted to ask about the earth and some children wrote them down.

Our topic work / cross curricular write this week was all about Australia! The children journeyed to Australia with Buddy the Bee and focused on writing sentences while writing a postcard to someone at home telling them about it. Some super sentences this week! ⭐️

In Maths, our focus has been on comparing amounts and numbers using the language of greater, more, fewer, less and equal to.  The children were introduced to the symbols of greater than and less than to challenge them further! They made some great comparisons using a variety of classroom objects.

On Mondays we will now have a coach this half term to take our PE session on football skills. This week the children were beginning to practice the skills of controlling the football with their feet.

Check out our amazing Art Work this week inspired by Picasso’s unrealistic portrait collage style!

Have a a great weekend and don’t forget to keep practising that harvest chorus!
