Week 6
Yet another full week! In cross-curricular writing the children applied their geography knowledge and wrote an acrostic poem. Throughout the literacy lessons, the children were able to edit and improve their non-chronological report about the Stone Age. In maths, the children have been developing their knowledge of positions on map, using compass points north, south, east and west. In history, the children have moved on to learning about Iron Age hill forts, in particular how they are constructed.
On Thursday the children enjoyed taking part in the advent trail, looking at each year groups painting of an aspect of the nativity. After this, the class enjoyed watching the carol concert that can be viewed online.
