We used our own experiences at playgrounds to come up with descriptive phrases and sentences. We allowed our imagination to run free and came up with some fantastic ideas!
This week the children have had the opportunity to create and play their own multiplication board games. They were very creative and lots of times tables were practiced!
We have linked our art and history learning by looking at mosaics. We have started to create our own, taking inspiration from original Roman mosaics.
We have been looking at performance poetry and are preparing for our own performances. The children have been annotating their poems to help them make their performances exciting.
In English we have been looking at myths. We used existing mythical beats to create our own and then described them using expanded noun phrases.
In Geography we were learning all about Europe. We learnt about the countries of Europe and their flags.
We linked our history learning with our art to produce some Egyptian cartouches. These include our initials in hieroglyphics!
In Science we learnt about the three different types of rock - sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic. We learnt about their properties and had a go at classifying them.
