Breaking News: Big Bag Wolf Found Guilty of His Crimes!

This half term in Literacy we have been exploring traditional tales and alternative versions of fairy tales. After reminding ourselves of ‘The Three Little Pigs’, we considered the Big Bad Wolf’s side of the story using ‘The True Story of the Three Little Pigs’ by Jon Scieszka. After much debate we decided that the only way to tell if the wolf was guilty or not guilty was to put him on trial! We divided into the prosecution and defence and planned our questions!

On Friday 14th February, we held the court case and carefully considered the wolf’s answers to our questions, eye-witness accounts and even evidence, including a paw print!

The jury retired to consider the verdict….

"We find the wolf GUILTY of his crimes." stated the jury, with two votes deciding the majority.
