At HWCE we want our children to foster a love of maths; creating curiosity and wonder. Furthermore, it is important that we develop children’s ‘growth mindset’ approach to the subject, so they are prepared to take risks and challenge themselves.
We will prepare children for Maths in education, work and day to day life - At HWCE we intend to foster a love of Maths which will see children develop in the maths throughout their education and beyond. Maths is essential to everyday life, critical to science, technology and engineering, and necessary for financial literacy and most forms of employment.
We aim to teach the national curriculum in a fun, creative and engaging ways to ensure the children reach their potential.
All children will have the skills to fluency, problem solve and reason.
