This week we looked at the book 'The Last Wolf' by Mini Grey. We thought about how the forest in the story had been taken over by buildings and the city and there were no more homes for the animals. We thought carefully about why trees are so important and used the book to help us, we also thought about our school and where we live and thought about if we have very many trees around us at school. We decided that we didn't have enough trees around our school and far too many building so we wrote a letter to the local council explaining why it is so important that more trees should be planted!
Our focus this week has been plants, we have had our own garden centre and spent lots of time observing and painting our class daffodils.
