Week 1
We have started our new text focus in literacy, Peter Pan. We had a hunt around the playground to find pieces of the map to show us Neverland. The children then pretended to be Wendy or John and wrote letters home to their parents to tell them about their exciting adventures.
In maths we have been looking at place value. The children used practical resources to show their understanding of the topic and then moved on to solve problems using their knowledge.
In other news:
Some of the children went to a tennis competition and had a great time. We stared writing our names in hieroglyphics, explored Brazil in geography and experimented with reflecting light off shiny objects in science.
