It was lovely to see the children again after our half term holiday, I was really impressed with so many of their holiday homework on ‘black history month’. In maths the children have been learning about time, there is still lots of work to be done on this so we will revisit it again in a few weeks. In literacy, the children continue to enjoy exploring The Twits and have looked at direct speech this week, in advance of writing playscripts.
Friday was international day; the children learnt about Israel, including playing a children’s game ‘3 sticks’. They also learnt about India and performed some dancing. In the afternoon, the children were reminded about our twin school, St.Michaels and wrote a postcard to the children for us to send. Please look at the international page in the curriculum area of our website for photographs.
Have a good weekend
