Week 1

It was great to welcome everyone back after half term, it was lovely to hear what some of the children had been up to.

This week the children started a new English topic ‘Stories from familiar settings’; as part of this we walked to the park up near Tom Burts Hill.

In maths the children looked at different scales involved in measuring capacity and volume - lots of children found this challenging, so we will try to revisit it again before the end of term. Next week, the focus is on time.

In science, the children had the opportunity to look at the mummified tomato and on Friday the children enjoyed a variety of activities for international day, learning about Ecuador, America and Uganda (where our e-twinning school, St. Michaels is.

Have a good weekend, let’s hope the sun continues to shine!
