Week 1
We have spent the first week getting to know our class text for this half-term - 'The Firework Maker's Daughter'. We have been using descriptive language to write character descriptions as well as looking at the way emotion is written in the text.
in Maths we have been learning about place value with four-digit numbers and were able to enjoy a practical lesson outside, representing numbers using beanbags and hoops. Towards the end of the week we have been problem solving with our place value skills.
In History we turned detective, looking at artefacts found in the Sutton Hoo archaeological dig and coming up with some ideas of what the artefacts were for, using evidence to explain our ideas.
In PE we will be learning some hockey skills as the LEAP coach joins us to deliver the sessions.
