Week 1

A chaotic but fun week...

In Maths we did some revision of the key calculation methods and focused on our problem solving skills.

In Literacy we began looking at Greek myths. The children had lots of fun creating freeze frames to sequence the story of the cyclops, boxed up a variety of different myths to show the features and wrote instructions for how to create a Greek hero.

In other subjects; we completed our first e-safety lesson in computing, used an atlas to label maps of Greece in geography, investigated friction on different surfaces in Science, recorded our Christmas carol for our citizenship project, read and discussed myths in reading lessons and began learning our songs for the Christmas performance.

Friday was international day - lots of practical and enjoyable activities including planning a road trip through the USA, building a pyramid and creating their own Uganda artwork.
