Week 1
We have had a jam packed first week back. It was lovely to hear that the children all had a great Easter holiday.
In Literacy we started to explore and edit biographies based on the people in our class text - Hidden Figures.
Maths was back to place value and we enjoyed some practical lessons and problem solving.
In other news; we wrote poems about water, ordered key events from the history of High Wycombe, learnt songs from the musical Matilda, sketched one of John Constable's painting and recapped e-safety in computing.
Friday was Brain Awareness Day - we had lots of fun learning about how our memory works and different strategies to help us remember things. We designed logos, talked about our early, happy and sad memories, produced neuron art work and designed and created our own memory games.
