Week 1
Maths
In maths this week our focus was place value. We practised using maths equipment to help us represent a value and use part whole models to partition into tens and ones but also in other alternative ways.
Literacy
The children read and searched for clues around the playground. These clues helped them to discover a character that we would be reading about for the next few weeks.
Our first book of the term was Paddington Goes for Gold. The children read the story and plotted the main events on a story mountain and discussed what happened in the introduction, build up, problem, solution and ending to the story.
PE
PE this term is focusing on multiskills. The children played some games where they had to move balls in different ways and consider the space they were using to safely receive and pass on the ball to their team.
